DCSC students compete in vocal and piano contest

Comet staff report

Students from Delphi Community Middle and High schools competed Jan. 30 in the district solo-ensemble contest at Harrison High School in Lafayette.

Middle school students earned the following medals:

Gold – Vocal Solos: Morgan Bennett, Baylee Brown, Jessica Brown, Mikyla Carr, Autumn Freeman, Bobby Jo Hayes, Madison Hodge, Dakota Smart, Nicole Smart and Lacie Tomson.

Silver – Vocal Solos: Mary Ann Krieg and Brook Milburn.

Bronze – Vocal Solo - Aneilya Carbaugh.

Gold – Piano Solo: Kate Layman.

Gold – Group: Courtney Brown, Payton Flora and Carly Watley.

Silver – Group: Baylee Brown, Aneilya Carbaugh, Mikyla Carr, MaryAnne Krieg and Brooke Milburn.

Bronze – Group: Aneilya Carbaugh, Mikyla Carr and Brooke Milburn.

High school students earned the following medals:

Gold – Vocal Solo – Kayla Norman.

Silver – Vocal Solo - Karli Edging.

Gold – Piano Solo - Alexas Smith.

Gold – Vocal Solos: Erika Matricia and Elizabeth Rowen who advanced to State Jan. 20 and Delphi Community High School Entertainers for a Madrigal.
