Superior Court judgments are gathered from public records on file in the Carroll County Clerk’s office on the second floor of the courthouse, Delphi.
Gatlin W. Wright, 19, Delphi, was convicted of battery resulting in bodily injury, criminal mischief, possession of paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with 275 days suspended, and 275 days of supervised probation for the first count; 180 days in jail, suspended, and 365 days of supervised probation for the second count, and 90 days in jail for the fourth count. The charge of criminal mischief was dismissed.
Ronnie J. Babcock, 49, Flora, was convicted of battery. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, suspended, and 180 days of supervised probation.
The following cause was dismissed: State vs. Russell M. Carter, Jr.
Justin M. Hargraves, 25, Russiaville, was convicted of hunting while failing to procure a federal water fowl stamp. He was fined $25.
The following were meted a combination of jail time, suspensions, probation and other penalties for convictions related to alcohol or illegal substances: Jordan O. Stewart, 19, Flora; Gabriel K. Wise, 24, Lafayette; Nicholas L. Pattengale, 30, Brookston; James A. Ginn, 42, Delphi; Sarah K. Hensley, 27, Frankfort; and Larry D. Hunt, 44, Delphi.
Martin Sebastian Martin, 33, Logansport, was convicted of synthetic identity deception. He was sentenced to one year and 90 days in the Department of Correction with 23 days credit for time served.
Caleb E. Buffenbarger, 19, Delphi, was convicted of failure to stop after an accident resulting in damage to an unattended vehicle. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, suspended, and one year of supervised probation.
Misty D. Adams, 19, Delphi, was convicted of driving while suspended. She was sentenced to one year in jail, suspended, and one year of supervised probation. Her driving privileges were suspended for 180 days.
Jeffrey A. Wagner was found not guilty of permitting horses to run at large.
Russell M. Carter, Jr. 44, Flora, was convicted of theft. He was sentenced to 545 days in the Department of Correction with 365 days suspended and 365 days of supervised probation.
James E. Sibray, 27, Silver Lake, was convicted of unlawful hunting of migratory birds with more than three shells in shotgun. He was fined $25.
The following causes have been dismissed with prejudice: Countrywide Home Loans vs. Alan L. McCracken Jr., Beth A. McCracken and Lafayette Bank and Trust; and Citibank vs. Tom Taylor.
Default judgment was granted to the plaintiff in: Dallas and Darlene Eikenberry vs. Donyelle Butler, $2,780; Tim Huff vs. Zakry and Leah Gutierrez, $875; LVNV Funding LLC vs. James Kennedy, $8,871.33; Citibank vs. Kevin Pavey, $12,350.07 and Jennifer Frey vs. Chris Kirtley, $550 plus possession of property.
Judgment was granted to the plaintiff in Discover Bank vs. Mary M. Hoffman, $3,247.54; and Beneficial Financial vs. Richard Young, $10,177.59.
