The meeting scheduled by the Delphi Chamber of Commerce for tonight, Thursday, Jan. 21 has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
    The chamber was to host Paul Diebold, team leader of Survey and Registration for the Division of Historic Preservation, a division of the Department of Natural Resources. Diebold agreed to meet with building owners and residents to discuss and hear concerns about the proposed Historic District. All buildings fitting appropriate criteria within the boundaries of the district will be listed on both the state and national registers of historical places if the proposal is approved.
    The proposal will be reviewed by the state group is scheduled for Jan. 27 in Indianapolis. Diebold said he will accept questions or comments by telephone at (317) 232-3493 prior to the formal review.
