The Delphi wrestling squad raised its dual meet record to 19-5 last weekend by winning the Nick Spittler Invitational at North Newton.

The Oracles defeated Frontier in round one by a score of 70-9. In round two the Oracles beat South Newton 53- 22 and in round 3 defeated North Newton 58-21. In the final round Boone Grove was defeated by a score of 64-6.

The Oracles had six champions, all going 4-0. The champs were Chris Brown at 112, Blake Price at 125, Nathan McTigue at 135, Tanner Lynde at 152, Dayton Rummell at 160, and Braden Atwood 189.

The Oracles also had a few other milestones. Nick Zink won his first varsity match. Brown and Price won their first tournament as varsity wrestlers. Brandon Delaney collected his 100th victory as an Oracle.

The Oracles will be in action this weekend at Delphi for the Hoosier Conference. Wrestling will begin at 9 a.m.
