Rosemary Fisher

Rosemary Fisher, 86, Mooresville, went home to be with her Lord at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.

She was born in Acton, Indiana, on Dec. 20, 1923. Her parents were James Hansford and Rosa May (Coats) Evans. She graduated from Franklin Township High School (now Franklin Central High School) in Marion County in 1941. On May 28, 1941, in Sandusky, Indiana, she married Herma Junior Fisher and he survives.

Mrs. Fisher was an office worker and clerical employee in Indianapolis for ten years at the Indiana University Medical Center. She was a stenographer for the Boone County Y.M.C. A. and worked for Boone County Senior Services, both in Lebanon. She then worked in Delphi for the Soil Conservation District. In Muncie, she assisted with the hospital program to assist in cooking and cleaning in homes where assistance was needed.

While in Zephyrhills, Fla., she was office manager for two years at the Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Estates. In 1997, the couple returned to Indiana to reside in Mooresville.

Mrs. Fisher enjoyed her family and their activities as a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother.

She was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church, Hazelwood, Indiana.

Surviving with her husband, the Rev. Herma J. Fisher of Mooresville are three daughters, Kathleen Collins (husband: Thomas) of Mooresville, Elaine S. Gregory (husband: Norman) of Cloverdale, and Rosalie A. Hunsinger (husband: Mick) of Lebanon; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Jane Conrad Fisher of Greenwood; nine grandchildren, Angela Clevenger (husband: Jim) and Dawn Ross (husband: Chris), both of Greencastle,, Tonya Crow (husband: Chris) of Mooresville, Deana Gregory of Philadelphia, Pa., Ron Fisher (wife: Nikki) of Sheboygan, Wisc., Rhonda Ford (husband: David) of Key West, Fla., Rani Lammers (husband: Ged) of Avon, Michele Stephan (husband: Andy) and Michael Hunsinger, both of Lebanon; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert D. Fisher and David R. Fisher, who died in Vietnam; two brothers, Earl W. Evans and James H. Evans; and three sisters, Vera Mae Griffith, Ruth Delma Griffith, and Barbara Jean Oats.

Funeral services will be held at Hazelwood Christian Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Steve Ranson will officiate. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church in Hazelwood.
