HABITAT FOR HUMANITY is hosting its annual soup supper on Saturday at Honan Hall, Delphi, with serving from 5 to 8 p.m. Proceeds will help build the next Habitat house.

WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES, Kokomo Rescue Mission’s Winter Walk, will be held Feb. 13. Walk team envelopes fro the event are now available for pick-up at the Mission located a 321 W. Mulberry St., between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Mission’s main entrance. Proceeds from the walk benefit the programs of Open Arms, the Rescue Mission’s ministry to homless women and children. CARROLL COUNTY GARDEN CLUB will meet from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday at the Berkshire- Tarnowski farm, 1077 W. 350 N., Camden.

CARROLL COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT is convening the local working group for a meeting to prioritize natural resource concerns in this area at the courthouse lounge, 101 W. AMERICAN RED CROSS will hold a blood drive Jan. 7 from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Honan Hall located at Monroe and Union streets in Delphi. Call (800) 448-3543 to schedule a blood donation appointment.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED Jan. 9 to clear brush and debris at the NICHES Nature Preserve at the Moyer- Gould Woods located at SR18 and US421, three miles west of Delphi. Dress appropriate for the weather. For information, contact Fred Bergner at (765) 564-3434.

ABC-TV SERIES EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION will chronicle the recent construction of a new home for the Cowan-Brown family of Miami County. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” rebuilt a new home for Andy and Heather Cowan and their four children, Ryan 16, Trevor 13, Mason 8, and daughter Kori 12, who is battling a congenital blood disease. The show will air at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
