Oracle swimmers split with Tigers
The DCHS swim teams split meets with Northwestern. The girls beat the Tigers for the first time in recent history 102-83, while the boys, who had beat Northwestern the past two years, fell 78- 107.
The girls won 7 of 12 events. Annie Mose (500 free, 100 back) and Emily Layman (50 and 100 free) were double individual winners, Monica Hustell won the 200 free. The 200 medley relay team of Mose, Jordan Hudelson, Brianna Walters and Layman and the 200 free relay team of Hutsell, Hudelson, Grace Currie and Layman were first place winners.
The boys picked up six wins, but did not have the depth to hold off the Tigers. Andrew Burton won the 50 free and 100 butterfly, Jared Kelley took the 100 free and Kevin Kauffman won diving. Also picking up firsts were the 200 free relay team of Kelley, Austin Goodman, Alex Price and Burton and the 400 free relay team of Kelley, Price, Brent Kremer and Burton.
