Glendora Sparks

Glendora Sparks, 83, of Flora, formerly of rural Camden and Cutler, died unexpectedly at 2 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 10, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Delphi.

Born Oct. 26, 1926, in Cutler, she was the daughter of Warren and Mary Jervis Wilson. She graduated from Cutler High School in 1944. On June 1, 1946, in Cutler, she married Orval “Bud” Sparks, who preceded her in death on March 9, 1999.

Mrs. Sparks was secretary/ bookkeeper for Morning Star Fertilizer, Camden, for over 30 years.

She was a member of Camden Baptist Church.

She helped with Special Olympics and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors.

Mrs. Sparks loved her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Larry Sparks (wife: Mary) of Kokomo; three daughters, Diane Lantz (husband: Larry) of Flora, Denise Packard (husband: Darol) of Camden, and Darlene Pilcher (husband: Herb) of Tifton, Ga.; a brother, Donald Wilson (wife: Mickey) of Frankfort; eight grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.

An infant grandson preceded her in death.

Services were held Tuesday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Pastor Larry Shoemaker officiated. Burial followed at Camden Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Carroll County Special Olympics.
