Anthony J. Brookshire, 51, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at his residence.

Born March 23, 1958, in Marion, he was the son of Jack A. and Mary Ellen (Barton) Brookshire. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1976. On Nov. 21, 1995, he married Jana Keiser, and she survives.

He and his brother, Brett, coowned Kokomo Cover and Trim, which was started in 1954 by their father.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman, as well as a loyal Colts and NASCAR fan who enjoyed spending time with numerous friends. He adored his children and was a loving and devoted father and husband.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Trevor Brookshire and Blake Brookshire, both of Kokomo; two daughters, Brittney Miller (husband: Shawn) of Clearwater, Fla., and Hailey Rice of Kokomo; his mother of Kokomo; one brother, Brett Brookshire of Kokomo; two sisters, Renee McIlrath (husband: Dale) of Flora and Brenda Murray (husband: Jim) of Greenwood; his father and mother-in-law, Jack and Julie Keiser of Kokomo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, Kokomo, with Pastor Chuck Griffith officiating. Visiting will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
