State offers travelers road condition website

Comet staff report

A new website, Traffic- Wise, is now available to keep travelers informed of the latest road conditions.

Indiana State Highway Commissioner Michael W. Reed says the TrafficWise service is Indiana’s first advanced technology covering both rural and urban state highways in all corners of the state.

Travelers can access the latest reports on all state roads, U.S. highways and interstates in Indiana at Traffic- Wise.IN.gov.

There are links to provide traffic speed estimates and snapshots from 80 traffic cameras within urban areas in Northwest and Central Indiana available on the website.

Individuals with no Internet access can obtain updated information on road conditions, traffic delays and specific roadway data by calling (800) 261-7623.
