Calvin W. Minglin
Calvin W. Minglin, 76, of Lebanon, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon.
Born Oct. 27, 1933, in Frankfort, he was the son of Lester Calvin and Grace Whaley Sharp Minglin. On Sept. 17, 1955, in Indianapolis, he married Birdie Lorelle Jackson, who survives.
Mr. Minglin was a retired self-employed semi truck driver.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Marines from 1952-1959.
He was a member of the Gadsden Church of Christ and was an evangelist at various Churches of Christ.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Clint Minglin (wife: Kurtina) of Monticello; two daughters, Melanie Reelitz and Valerie Hughes, both of Flora; a brother, Ivan Minglin (wife: Doris) of Kokomo; a sister, Gladys Ellabarger (husband: Eddie) of Kokomo; a daughter in-law, Carla Minglin of Lebanon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Kevin Minglin, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, at Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Galen Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
