DPS receives SIA grant
The Delphi Public Library was among seven Indiana notfor profit organizations that were awarded a total of $20,599 in grants by the SIA Foundation during a Grant Awards Ceremony held recently at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc., Lafayette.
The DPS will use the $2,000 award to purchase a new gas furnace and the necessary duct work to replace the current system, purchased in 1980. Library director Kelly Currie attended the awards ceremony and accepted the grant on behalf of the library.
Indiana not-for-profit organizations that seek funding for capital projects in one of three areas – arts and culture, health and welfare, or education – are eligible to apply for SIA Foundation Grants which are awarded in June and December each year.
