Pearson 64th anniversary

Harold and Mary Margaret Pearson of Delphi, formerly of Flora, observed their 64th wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

On Dec. 1, 1945, Pearson came home to Ockley on furlough from his duties as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army and married Mary Margaret Clingenpeel.

They have lived and worked in Carroll County all of their lives. They are known in their community for their kindness, hard work, and especially for providing a loving home to some 26 children throughout their marriage.

The Pearsons currently reside with a daughter and sonin law, Sharon and Frank Herron, in Delphi. Other children include Dennis Underhill (wife: Vicki) of Iowa and Sarah Mummert (husband: Gary) of Monticello. They have 10 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.
