Silvers Arthur J. Silvers will celebrate his 90th birthday with a family dinner.

Born Dec. 8, 1919, in Ohio, he and his wife,

the former Annie Boone, moved to Flora in 1991 after residing in California and Kansas. They had 60 years together before her death in 1999.

Mr. Silvers is a retired auto mechanic.

Known for always lending a hand to help others, he enjoys his church, family and friends.

He has two daughters, Carolyn Fisher (husband: Wayne) of Camden and Joan Lee Benedict (husband: Fred) of Bringhurst; a son, Chris Silvers of LaQuinta, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
