Julia E. Achor, 80, of Walton, died Nov. 28, 2009, at Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo. Born Dec. 1, 1928, in Howard County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Rebecca Perkins Swope. In 1957 she married Albert E. Achor, who died in 2000. Mrs. Achor was a homemaker and farm wife. Among the survivors is a son, Brian Achor of Camden. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston.

Services for Ruby Naomi McLeland, 95, Burnettsville, were held Saturday in Logansport. Burial was at Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville. She died Nov. 24, 2009, at Logansport Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 19, 1914, she was the daughter of Charles and Ethel Gochenour Brechbiel. In 1945 in Camden, she married William McLeland, who died in 1999. Mrs. McLeland retired in 1980 from Pleasant Hill Greenhouse where she had worked for 36 years. Three children survive.
