Adeline F. Hoover Rider, 92, Monticello, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

Born Jan. 28, 1917, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Henry John and Sophia Weisenberger Raderstorf Hoover. Her marriage was on Jan. 13, 1934, to Howell Keith Rider, who preceded her in death July 23, 1999.

Mrs. Rider was a homemaker and helped her husband on their family farms in White and Carroll counties for over 60 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello.

Surviving are two daughters, Sue Sands (husband: Ben) of Carmel and Judith Spangle (husband: Ralph) of Cutler; two sons, Charles Rider (wife: Elizabeth) of Lindale, Texas, and Michael Rider (wife: Kathy) of Monticello; a sister, Ardella Witmeyer Berryman (husband: Glen) of Denver; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services and burial were held Monday in Delphi.

Memorials may be made to the Serenity Hospice in Lafayette.
