Comet staff report

This holiday season will be difficult for many to make ends meet. Local food pantries try to help those in need but cannot do it alone. That is why over 100 area insurance agents have united to fight hunger by partnering with ServiceMaster Advantage in the Advantage Food Drive.

Participating agents from Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Howard, Tippecanoe and White counties will display a yellow Advantage poster and make drop boxes available for donations from now until Dec. 15.

ServiceMaster Advantage will pick up the donations and make delivers to local food pantries.

Local insurance agents and agencies participating are Norris Agency and RME Insurance in Flora, Farm Bureau of Delphi, Carroll County Farm Bureau, Sam Deiwert of the Deiwert Agency, Paige Smith of Shelter Insurance, Bill Ruch of State Farm Insurance, Gangwer Insurance Agency and Dale Pettiner of The Pettiner Agency, all of Delphi.

Individuals can further assist food pantries by donating items at the Logansport Memorial Hospital lobby from now until Dec. 18. Those items will then be distributed to local food pantries before Christmas.
