Rags to Bags class will be held Saturday from 9 to noon. Participants age 13 and older can make a bag for their own use or holiday gift giving. Materials will be provided but a reservation is need to attend the class. Call to reserve a spot.

The library’s annual murder mystery will be presented Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. It will be the social event of the year as Tina Fithugh and Bruce Montgomery start their happy wedded and much dreaded life together. Meddling in-laws, wedding plans gone awry and of course a murder makes for a memorable wedding. Call to reserve a spot.

Story Time will be held Dec. 10 with Baby Lapsit at 9:30 a.m., Toddler Story Time at 10 and Preschool Story Time at 11:30. Come and hear seasonal stories and get in the Christmas spirit singing songs and hearing all about Santa’s helpers.

The library’s halls are decked out for the holidays. Browse through your favorite magazine or newspaper while you relax with a nice cup of coffee or hot cocoa in the library’s coffee shop. Candy bars and soda are also available.

Give the gift of reading to your friends and relatives. Persons living in unserved townships do not pay library taxes so they need to purchase their library cards. A wonderful gift idea would be to purchase a library card for family and special friends who otherwise could not afford to use the library. Ask for more information at the main desk or call the library, 967-3912.

Santa Claus is visiting Flora in the Pizza King on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Why not pick up a book at the holiday book sale during your visit? All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Friends of the Library.

The theme for the next storytime is “Trees.” Trees are a symbol of the holiday season, and a home for many living creatures. We will have lots of stories and fun featuring trees of all kinds. Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Call the library’s Dial-a- Story to hear entertaining short stories. Currently playing is “The Rat Princess.” Friday the story changes to “The Golden Cobwebs.” Call Dial-a- Story at 967-3814.
