The Delphi wrestling team kicked off the 2010 season at the Chesterton Super Duals. The Oracles did something that they have never done in the past. they out wrestled the host school, Chesterton, to a 42-39 win.

The match turned costly though because the Delphi team lost Cody Alderman for the rest of the day due to a few stitches.

After starting the season 1- 0 for the first time in 12 years, the Oracles could not find another win. The Oracles lost to McCutcheon 18- 58, to Elkhart Memorial 32-48, and to Munster 21-51.

Despite going 1-3 for the day the young Delphi squad showed lots of desire and fight. Leading the way individually for the Oracles were senior Braden Atwood, 189 lbs., and sophomore Tanner Lynde, 152 lbs., who both went undefeated. Atwood had three pins and a forfeit while Lynde had three pins and a decision.

Winning three matches were 112 Cesar Cervantes and 215 Roy Anderson. Twotime winners were 119 Austin Jones and 171 Brandon Delaney. Winning one match each were 103 Adam Marvel and 285 Kenny Myers.

The Oracles will be in action again on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving against count foe Carroll at 6pm at the Delphi high school.
