Deer Creek Presbyterian and Faith Lutheran churches are joining together to have a special Thanksgiving Service. The service will be held at the Deer Creek Community Center at 7 p.m. Nov. 25. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.

Members and friends of Faith Lutheran Church will travel to the McKinney House on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. to bring some cheer to the residents with their singing. All are invited to participate.

Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will decorate the church for Christmas on Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. This year’s colors are blue and silver. Come and enjoy the fellowship.

Deer Creek Presbyterian Church has purchased 11 American flag sets that have been set up along State Road 29. They were placed in yards before Veteran’s Day and will remain up through Thanksgiving. The flags will be displayed on other holidays throughout the year.

The Good Neighbors Gals met at Betty’s Stop & Shop recently with Teresa Cooksey as their hostess for a chili lunch. Those attending were Helen Forgey, Mary Ellen Johnson, Dot Fulton, Marilyn Hile, Liz Mylet and special guests Roger Myer, Dan Lesh and Jeff Lesh.
