Carroll County Extension Educator Joanne Lytton was presented with the Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding service and dedication to the 4-H Youth Development Profession by the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents.
She was honored by her peers for taking part in the state 4-H manual writing teams for the microwave and llama projects and for teaching 4-H’ers how to turn life skills into scholarship dollars. During the past 14 years, 27 Carroll County 4-H’ers have received $30,500 in scholarship money based on their life skill resumes.
The award was presented at the Annual Extension Educators Conference held recently at Purdue University.
