Jessika Joan Catt, 17, Young America, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident in Cass County.

Born Sept. 5, 1992, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Robert J. Catt and Sheila E. Johns Catt.

A sophomore at Lewis Cass High School, she worked at The Scoop in Burlington for two years.

Surviving are her father of Young America; her mother of Raymore, Mo.; two sisters, Tristan Catt (companion: Daniel Clouthier) of Kokomo and Alisha Parrott (husband: Nicholas) of Hartford City; and maternal grandmother, Rita Johns of Kokomo.

Services were held Tuesday in Galveston. Burial followed at North Union Cemetery, Howard County.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society or a scholastic scholarship fund that will be set up in her honor for the Lewis Cass track team.
