Making ornaments to honor cancer victims
      Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa has been busy making ribbons for the Love Lights a Tree fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Love Lights A Tree is a special celebration held each December to honor loved ones who have fought the battle of cancer.

     Wednesday Forum Members of Wednesday Forum recently met at the home of Nancy Klinker for their November meeting. Klinker presented a book review of “An American Bible” by Elbert Hubbard, published in 1917 by Roycroft Press. The book is a series of sketches of famous people of the time.

      American Legion will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Legion Home. Senior Citizens Bingo Night will be Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. in the Senior Citizens Lounge. Bingo is held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

      Burlington’s annual Christmas Walk will be Saturday evening from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Business open houses will begin at 4:30 with Santa arriving at 5. The lighting of the town Christmas tree will be at 6:30. A community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 22 at the First Brethren Church.

     New deputy clerk Lynette Martin was introduced at the Thursday night Camden Town Council meeting. Martin is a retired Logansport Elementary teacher and has lived in Camden for 18 years. The deputy clerk position is part-time.
