A community Thanksgiving worship service will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Deer Creek Community Center. This will be a combined effort of Faith Lutheran and Deer Creek Presbyterian churches. All people of the community are invited to attend.

Faith Lutheran’s monthly senior potluck dinner will be at 12 noon Nov. 17. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Everyone in the community is invited.

Pastor Matt Knopf has accepted a call to a church in Nebraska. His last Sunday at Faith will be Dec. 13. A carry-in supper in his honor will be held Dec. 6 following morning worship. All are welcome to attend.

Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will have a congregational meeting on Nov. 22 immediately following worship. A report from the nominating committee will be given and voted upon.

Janet Hertenstein has returned home from rehab after suffering a broken hip. She is reportedly doing well.
