NICHES Land Trust to host annual juried show

Mary I. Gerard Preserve Mary I. Gerard Preserve NICHES Land Trust’s juried art competi- tion, “Celebrating Art in Nature,” is open to everyone and will be shown at Tippecanoe Arts Federation in Lafayette in April of 2010.

Photo- graphs taken on NICHES properties are currently being accepted. Three monetary awards will be given with $500 as the top prize.

Additionally, mixed media submissions inspired by the Midwestern natural landscape will receive monetary awards with the top prize taking home $750.

There is a limit of three submissions per person.

NICHES Land Trust’s lands are open to the public from dawn to dusk everyday of the year. NICHES’ Mary I. Gerard Preserve protects six acres of bottomland along Deer Creek near High Bridge at the eastern end of the Delphi Historic Trail system in Carroll County.

NICHES protects, restores and sustains Northern Indiana’s ecosystems by providing habitat for native species and offering natural places for the education, appreciation and enjoyment of current and future generations.
