Faith Inspired Book Club will meet Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. to discuss “When Crickets Cry”’ by Charles Martin. Multiple copies are available.

In Stitches Fiber Arts Circle will meet Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Those interested in knitting, crocheting, quilting or spinning are encouraged to come and share a project idea. Bring a refreshment to share.

The library will close Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. with regular hours resuming Nov. 27 at 10 a.m.

This year’s murder mystery entitled, “The Wedding from #*! %” will be presented Dec. 6. Be there when Tina Fithugh and Bruce Montgomery start their happy . . .hectic . . .uh. . . pathetic life together. Reservations are needed to attend.

Do you know someone who loves to read, but can’t come to the library due to limited mobility or age? Library Direct is a service offered by the library to assist individuals in the library district who are homebound, including the elderly, handicapped, and those temporarily incapacitated by long-term illness or injury.

Pumpkins abound in an art display open to the public in the Richter Program Room. The first grade art enrichment classes at Carroll Elementary School created orange pumpkin paintings with only primary colors.

The Sonshine Academy’s younger students in grades one through three also made their own pumpkin creations. The Academy’s older grades have ink drawings of autumn gourds using shading to create depth.

The Flora Library book club’s November selection is Adriana Trigiani’s, “Big Stone Gap.” The discussion will be in the Flora Senior Center on Nov. 18. All ages are welcome.

The theme for the next storytime is “Cowboys and Indians.” Mosey up your cattle, saddle up your horse, and bring the youngins’ in for some good tales! Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
