By submitting a letter or opinion article, the author grants the Comet the right to publish, distribute, archive or use the work in print, electronic, on-line or other format. No government option The letter (10/28) from Ron Scowden brings the health care debate to the local level. Because of medicare/medicaid the bureaucrats have decided that a 1 hour 15 mile trip can be billed at $700 and there is nothing anyone can do about it except pay all your medical bills out of your pocket if you don’t accept the government’s fiat. If this does not scare the bejeebers out of everybody when you hear of a “government option,” then you are inhabiting another planet. Lon Bohnstedt The Villages, Fla. (Former Flora resident) |
