Heads up prospective candidates... this one’s for you!
      The first day to file for the May primary is Jan. 20. Any Carroll County resident who thinks they want to be a leader, or who has the desire to be part of an elite group of individuals who can make a real difference for the good of all, should at this time be wondering just how to go about the job of getting elected.

Hailing the harvest
      At harvest time it is easy for me to romanticize farming. During the fall season farm fields look orderly and serene and the bounty thereupon looks solid and dependable and ripe for the picking. As the corn dries under the warm autumn sun, the yield appears restful in its abundance and almost inevitable.
