SR 75 opens north of Frankfort
State Road 75 north of Frankfort opened on Friday, according to an announcement by the Indiana Department o f Transportation.
The highway has been closed since June 15 for replacement of a bridge deck over Kilmore Creek and also a Sight Distance Improvement project two miles south of SR 26 at County Road 700 North in Clinton County. S.R. 75 had two right angle turns eliminated in the roadway to improve the safety of the motoring public and traffic flow through the area.
George R. Harvey and Sons, Inc. completed work on the bridge project for $438,235. Crider & Crider, Inc. is the contractor for the $1.26 million project at C.R. 700 North and is nearing completion. The project completion date is November 15. Both of these contracts were part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
