Donations and volunteers needed for Christmas baskets
With the holiday season near, it is time to think of others. There are many ways to donate this Christmas season.
Christmas Food Baskets, Inc. is a community project coordinated by area churches and generously supported by civic groups, school children, businesses and individuals to assist those in need at Christmas.
Last year, 2008, was another successful year for the Christmas Basket Project. Many individuals and families in Carroll County were given a full basket of food, toys, and other donations for the holidays. These donations and gifts helped some families through another week while for others it meant Christmas could be celebrated.
Contact Kathy LaFond at (765) 564-2516 from Nov. 16 until Dec. 6 with names, addresses, phone numbers and ages of children of people who may be in need of a basket this holiday season.
