Brouwer’s work in arts event ‘Nature Awakens Creativity’
      “Nature Awakens Creativity,” a multi-sensory presentation of music, art, and poetry, will be presented Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Indianapolis Art Center’s Frank M. Basile Auditorium. The Central Indiana Land Trust will host the event as part of the Spirit & Place Festival, which takes place annually in Indianapolis.

Council holds the line with no LOIT increase (they hope)

Free meal shows farmers they’re appreciated
      Carroll FFA Chapter annually honors and thanks the farming community with a meal, called the Farmer’s Dinner. It occurs during harvest time. The meal includes roast pork sandwiches, potato chips, applesauce, a drink, and angel food cake. This year, students packaged about 100 dinners. The hog is usually roasted at the school.

      State Road 75 north of Frankfort opened on Friday, according to an announcement by the Indiana Department o f Transportation.

APC recommends wind energy ordinance
      A proposed wind energy ordinance was given a unanimous favorable recommendation by the Area Plan Commission (APC) at a public hearing last Tuesday. The recommendation will be forwarded to the Carroll County Commissioners at a public hearing Nov. 16. The Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) site regulations were certified by the APC.

Commissioners considering wind energy ordinance
      The Carroll County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Wind Energy Conversion Systems Ordinance at their meeting on Nov. 16. The hearing will begin at 9 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room located on the second floor of the county courthouse in Delphi.
