This summer, a Junior Girl Scout from Troop 41153, along with her parents, grew zucchini in their garden and then donated the zucchini to the troop. The entire Junior Troop teamed up to bake over 45 loaves of zucchini bread that were sold during Flora’s recent Moonlight Madness event. Troop members who manned the sales booth were, from left: Havannah Kauffman, Kinsey Barnes, unknown helpher, Schalene Shafer, Tayah Miller, and Lexi Schnarr. All the profit from the bread sales will be used for the troop’s summer 2010 trip to Savannah, Ga., birthplace of Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low. “Our success would not have been possible without the help of our girls and their parents, Flora First Brethren Church, and all of our customers,” said Heather Kauffman, troop leader and Carroll County service manager.
