St. Elizabeth Orthopaedic Center will host a FREE SEMINAR, “New Advances in Total Joint Replacements” on Nov. 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kathryn Weil Center for Education in Lafayette. The seminar is free but registration is required by calling (765) 449-5133 by Nov. 10. The Kathryn Weil Center for Education is located on the fourth floor of the Medical Arts Building, 415 N. 26th St., Suite 400 on the campus of Home Hospital.

PERU CIRCUS CITY SAMS Chapter 89 will be meeting for dinner on Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Streamliner in Rochester. Guests are welcome. Donations will be collected for Back Roads Dog Rescue. Tens of thousands of SANDHILL CRANES visit Jasper- Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area’s shallow marshes as they migrate south. During what’s called Indiana’s largest wildlife spectacle, Jasper-Pulaski FWA hosts up to 30,000 cranes a day.

The Hoosier Heartland Small Business Development Center is currently offering the seminar, HOW TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Nov. 17, at the LEDF Office, 310 South Pearl Street, Logansport. There is no charge for this seminar. Questions will be answered about licensing, permits, record keeping, marketing, planning and more.
