Delphi Lady Oracles won their first-ever Volleyball Sectional championship last weekend at Fountain Central. They began their road to victory on Thursday when they beat the host team, Fountain Central, in three sets, 25-10, 25-17, 25-10. More ... A 15-20 mile per hour wind and a light mist made it a rough game to play for the Cougars Friday night at South Newton. The Rebels proved they are a very good football team, defeating the Cougars 30-7 in the first round of Sectional play. More ... Playing the Tipton Blue Devils for the second week in a row, the Delphi Oracles again fell short, this time in the first round of the Sectional playoffs, 41-13. More ... Carroll Varsity Soccer Team’s awards banquet was held last week with the MVP, Cougar Award, Most Improved and All-Conference winners being named. The Cougars finished the year 5-11-1, but had a good year overall winning the Hoosier Heartland Conference for the second year in a row and playing well against two undefeated teams near the end of the season. More ... Wabash College sophomore and Logansport native Sam Starbuck recently finished the Men’s Health Urbanathlon in Chicago first in his age group of 18 and 19 year olds. Of the more than 5,000 competitors, Starbuck finished in 92 minutes for a placing of 282nd overall. More ...
