Myrtle L. Wallace
Myrtle Leona Johnston Wallace, 94, of Camden, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Clarion Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.
Born May 13, 1915, in Camden, she was the daughter of Elmer E. and Roxie Mable Allen Sines. She attended Camden schools. On May 29, 1941, in Muncie, she married Raymond Johnston and he preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1969. Her second marriage was in Camden to Clifford E. Wallace, who preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1993.
Mrs. Wallace was a selfemployed housekeeper.
She was a member of Camden First Baptist Church and the church’s Dorcas Missionary Society.
Surviving are a special friend, High McKinley of Flora; a son, John Godshalk of Sturgis, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Carol Jean Stewart of Delphi; and several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, stepgreatg reat-grandchildren, great-great-great- grandchildren, and stepgreatgreat great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Cree Funeral Home, Camden. Pastor Paul Marcellino will officiate. Burial will follow at Camden Cemetery.
