Jerry Lynn Cottrell, 54, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at his residence.

Born Oct. 18, 1955, in Frankfort, he was the son of Chester and Mary (Bonham) Cottrell. He graduated from Frankfort High School with the Class of 1973. He married LaBrenda McGlothlin and they later divorced.

Mr. Cottrell was a member of Teamsters Local #274 and had worked the past several years with Reith-Riley Construction Company. He previously worked for Milestone Contractors.

Surviving are his mother of Frankfort; a son, Joshua Cottrell of Anderson; a daughter, Regina Cottrell of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Jeri Lyn, Dilan, and Ava; a sister, Carolyn Martin (husband: Chris) of Frankfort; four brothers, Larry Cottrell (wife: Terri), Charles Cottrell (wife: Susie), Randy Cottrell (wife: Tina), and Eddie Cottrell, all of Frankfort; and two nephews and eight nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services were held Monday morning at Archer-Weston Funeral Home, Frankfort. Burial followed at Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.
