Concert to benefit new youth center in Burnettsville
Four bands will perform Nov. 7 at a benefit concert for the Idaville First Church of God Youth Outreach Center. The concert will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Bee Hive Community Center, located at the corner of Sixth and Logan streets in Burnettsville.
Bands scheduled to perform are: The Avenue Blues Band (formerly known as Jonah and The Wailers), Hands Held High, Malachi Jaggers, and The Idaville First Church Of God Praise Team.
A free will offering will be taken. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
All proceeds will be used for a new youth building, called a Hogan.
The idea for the Hogan came from Idaville missionaries who took mission trips to the Navajo reservations. The buildings the Navajo people live in are called Hogans. The new facility will be a place dedicated to the youth of the church and community.
