Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post has released statistics for September. Troopers issued 2,071 traffic citations and wrote 1,676 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 31 drunk drivers, made 114 criminal arrests, and issued 101 truck citations (over 10,000 pounds gross weight).

School has started and people are reminded to watch for children walking to school or waiting on a school bus.
