O’Brien and Baker Carroll Elementary’s Cougar of the Month for September is Andrea O’Brien, a sixth grade teacher. She was nominated by one of her students, Katelyn Baker.

Highlights from Katelyn’s letter follow: “Mrs. O’Brien is the nicest teacher I have ever met. She is really funny. She likes teaching. She is always doing something like grading papers and working on her computer. Mrs. O’Brien is so awesome and rocks. I think she is happy all the time. I love her classroom. She is really helpful. She loves her family so much.”

The Cougar of the Month program is designed to encourage youth to nominate a staff member for recognition. One letter, written by the student, is selected each month. Both student and teacher are recognized and receive a gift for being selected. Carroll PTO sponsors the program.
