Tommy D. Flood
Tommy D. Flood, 69, of Delphi, died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He had been a patient there for the past three weeks and in failing health the past year.
Born June 9, 1940, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Ralph and Evelyn Hall Flood. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1958.
Mr. Flood worked for over 30 years at Pratt-Whitney Corp. in Hartford, Conn., as an aircraft jet engine tech, retiring in 1997.
He belonged to the International Association of Machinist Aerospace Workers.
He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Hartford, and enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Raised in the Lafayette area, he resided in Connecticut for 30 years and moved to Carroll County after his retirement.
Surviving are his fiancée, F. Jane Landis of Delphi; two sons, Michael Flood of London, England, and Christopher Flood of Lafayette; and a sister, Jan Richison of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi. There will be a private family disposition of his ashes.
