Rebecca Jane Boone, 64, of Roaoke, Va., formerly of Flora, died Oct. 8, 2009, in Roanoke.

Born May 14, 1945, in Modesto, Calif., she was the daughter of Wayne and Mary Skiles Angle. The family moved to Flora in 1950.

She was married on Aug. 24, 1963, to Jimmie Booth Boone, who preceded her in death in 2005.

A homemaker, Mrs. Boone was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church.

Surviving are her mother of Flora; a son, Donald Boone (wife: Rueshan) of Modesto; three daughters, Deborah Brubaker (husband: Jacob) of Rocky Mount, Va., Deanna Peters (husband: Keith) of Roanoke, and Darlene Rumble (husband: Darin) of Modesto; two sisters, Beverly Kelly (husband: Max) of Flora and Juanita Peters (husband: Stephen) of Peru; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

Services and burial were held Oct. 11 at the Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church in Rocky Mount.
