Rossville Lions Club is sponsoring a BLOOD DRIVE for the Indiana Blood Center on Nov. 2 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Bennett Room, Rossville.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES for students at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School will be held Monday from 12:30 to 8 p.m. To schedule appointments with teachers, call the Guidance Office at (574) 967-3000. Students will not attend school on that day.
A VETERAN’S DAY TEA PARTY will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Bennett Room, 50 E. North St., Rossville (one block north of the light, turn right).
SINGLES will meet at 12 noon Oct. 22 at the Flora First Christian Church.
Cutler Presbyterian Church is inviting all the children in the area to a
HARVEST PARTY on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. There will be a cookout supper, games, cookie decorating, and pumpkin carving. The party is free, but children are asked to bring their own pumpkins.
The Jefferson Township Conservation Club (JTCC) is hosting a HALLOWEEN PARTY Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be food, drink, a costume contest, games, gifts and surprises. The party is open to all and should not be too scary for the little ones. The JTCC is located next to Oakdale Dam.
DELPHI ART CLUB members will meet for their annual Snow Bird Christmas Dinner on Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bringhurst United Methodist Church. Members and spouses or a special friend are invited. Meat and drink will be furnished so members should bring a side dish to share. Hostesses for the meeting will be the club officers, president Carol Wicklund, vice president Janie Szczepanski, secretary Libby Sparks, and treasurer Phyllis Porter. There will be a short art video shown, and then art videos given to the club by Tom Evers will be sold.
The last in a series of programs on ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE will be presented at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Flora Senior Center, 115 N. Division Street. The topic will be “Aging Safely in the Home.” The free program will teach people how to effectively evaluate their environment, avoid injury and wandering, put common objects and substances out of reach, and ensure total safety at home. Pre-registration is requested and can be made by calling the Alzheimer’s Association Helpline at 800-272-3900.
GED CLASSES meet every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in room AA4 at Delphi Community High School. Students may join the class at any time during the school year. Classes are free.
