Faith Lutheran and Deer Creek Presbyterian churches will co-host a Haunted Woods Halloween Happening on Saturday starting at 5 p.m. at the family property of Tom and Diane Lane. All ages are welcome. Members are asked to help with the Trunk-or-Treat by decorating vehicles and bringing treats to hand out to the kids. There will a costume contest, mummy wrap, games, hay ride and bobbing for donuts. Youth are planning the event. In case of rain, it will be moved inside at Faith church.

Faith Lutheran Church will have its monthly Senior Potluck on Tuesday at 12 noon. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring a covered dish to share.

The quilters at Faith church will meet Oct. 26 starting at 9 a.m. Those participating are asked to bring a sack lunch.

The Golden Girls of Deer Creek recently were treated to a fish fry at Harry and Margy Albaugh’s home. Those attending were Dot Fulton and Marilyn Hile of Deer Creek, Joan Jones and Bob and Pat Burnham of Thorntown, Mary and Jerry Blue of Cutler, and Jane Slusser and Betty Gordon of Logansport.
