Camden Woman’s Literary Club will meet Tuesday for a dinner meeting at the Loeb House Tea Room in Lafayette. Members will leave from the library at 5:30 p.m.
First Baptist Board of Christian Education will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the church.
Women’s Missionary Society will meet at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the home of Jennifer Wallace. Jimpsie Doyel will give the lesson and Mary Whitfield will give devotions.
A gathering of the First Baptist GEMS (women in the later years, 80-plus) was held last Thursday at the church and was hosted by Deacons Justine Crume and Jimpsie Doyel. Seventeen members and two guests attended. Attending the luncheon and time of fellowship were Hannah Appleton, Thelma Brown, Grace Arion, Anna Case and niece, Sue Ann Levy, Helen Forgey, Sara Fultz, Marylin Geiser, Jewel Rutledge, Eva Lou Shanks, Virginia Shonk, Jennifer Wallace, Myrtle Wallace, Sue Wertz, Mary Whitfield, Helen Yeager, and Anna Merle Zook. The meal was served by Maryanne Berkshire, Judy Martin and Donna Swayze. Everyone attending, along with those who were unable to attend, received a throw made by Mrs. Crume.
Oct. 18-24 is Indiana Extension Homemakers Week. Make a Difference Day is Oct. 26.
