Rosa Chianese Jones, 88, of Fishers, passed away Oct. 2, 2009.

She was born on April 1, 1921, in Naples, Italy, the second of eight children to Nicola and Antonia Chianese. She married Robert William Jones on Sept. 29, 1945, in Naples. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her loving children, Darlene Hattersley (husband: Peter), Lynette DeCoursey, Shirley Carrier (husband: Ron), and Phillip Jones (wife: Kate); grandchildren, Laura Hegarty (husband: Matt), Ryan Hattersley (wife: Jana), Erin Hattersley, Reid, Peter and Alexandra DeCoursey, Derek and Cassie Jones; and great-grandson, Drew Hegarty.

Her four surviving sisters reside in Italy.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers- Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. A Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi.

Memorial contributions may be made to any V.F.W. lodge in honor of her husband, Robert, and grandson, Peter De Coursey.
