Churches join together for worship and fellowship

Comet staff report

Churches from throughout Carroll County will come together to celebrate World Communion Sunday on Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Carroll Jr.- Sr. High School auditorium.

The public is invited to join Cutler Presbyterian Church, Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church of Delphi and the Flora Presbyterian Church as they break bread, not as individual congregations but as united sisters and brothers in Christ.

The churches will gather to worship God in a joint service that will include communion. Come and join with Christians from around the world to celebrate God’s love and grace.

In addition to communion, the service will include a community choir with members from each of the churches. The choir will meet at 9 a.m. to rehearse and is open to anyone who would like to be included. A carryin lunch will follow in the cafeteria.

A special offering will be collected for the Presbyterian Church USA Peacemaking Offering. A portion of the offering will go to the Carroll County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

A nursery will be provided for children under three. Reserved parking will also be available for those needing assistance.
