Battle of the Bounty - help stock the food pantry's shelves
Coinciding with the annual Bacon Bowl football rivalry is the Battle of the Bounty.
Both Carroll Jr.-Sr. and Delphi Community high schools have been collecting canned and boxed goods for the Carroll County Food Pantry. They will also be collecting for their respective schools at Friday night's Carroll-Delphi football game at Carroll. Anyone who brings five or more food pantry items to the game will be given either a blue or black rally towel. There are 100 towels to be given away.
Heading up the food pantry drives are Delphi FFA and Carroll yearbook staff and student council. Sponsors for these groups, respectively, are Beth Theobald and Doug Walker for DCHS and, Pat Spence and Gary Duff for CJSHS.
Last year the Delphi contingent out gave the Carroll fans and won the Battle of the Bounty.
Carroll County residents are served by two pantry sites - Delphi and Flora .
