Come into any public library in the county and pick up a copy of Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods," the Carroll County on the Same Page 2009 selection. It is a true humorous account of Bryson's attempted trek of the Appalachian Trail and the people he encountered along the trail.
After you read the book, take a hike on one of the many trails in Carroll County. The hiking trails are one of the main reasons for our selection. Take your family along on your own adventure inspired by this story. We are interested in anyone who has hiked the Appalachian Trail. Please contact the Flora, Camden, or Delphi libraries if you would like to share your memories of the trail.
The theme for the next storytime is "Camping." Camping brings you to the great out of doors where we can go fishing, hiking, and of course, sit around the campfire and tell stories! Storytime fun is on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
Hearing a good story is always available by calling the library's Dial-a-Story, 967-3814.
