Three Carroll County participants, (l-r) Anna Scharer, Madison Rinehart, and Halle Chambers competed in the Dupree Tap and Jazz Convention in Chicago. They represented Dance Elite Studio of Kokomo. Anna performed as a 2009 All Star Dancer with a group of All Star Dancers from across the United States. Madison and Halle competed with their VIP groups, both receiving gold awards. Halle performed a jazz solo and received a silver award. Madison received a gold award for her lyrical solo and was a top ten finalist for the jazz scholarship. Anna is a sophomore at Ball State University, majoring in dance and advertising. Halle and Madison are students at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School. Photo provided
