A FOLLOW-UP to the two JOB SEEKER events held in July in Flora will be tonight, Aug. 26, at the Flora Presbyterian Church. The evening will begin with a free supper at 6:30 p.m. in the church dining room with the help session starting at 7. Free babysitting will be provided for young children.
The eighth annual CARROLL PTO trash bag fundraiser will begin Friday and continue through Sept. 17. Proceeds from the sale will be used for technology items at Carroll Elementary. Last year LCD projectors, along with books and couches for the library, were purchased. All children selling trash bags are to be accompanied by an adult. The 2009 CARROLL ARGOSY YEARBOOKS have arrived and can be picked up in the bookstore during school hours. The yearbook can also be purchased in the bookstore.
Carroll Jr./Sr. High School will host a MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT AND ICE CREAM SOCIAL on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. All parents will go through their student's schedule. Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child's schedule so they will know where to go. This is an evening for the teachers to put names with faces and go over classroom guidelines and expectations. Childcare will be provided for younger children.
